MELFA, Va. – Luminary Air Group, LLC (“Luminary”) welcomes the addition of its cabinet shop in Richmond Hill, GA. The new facility will allow Luminary to offer VIP cabinetry fabrication, cabinetry finish, repairs, modifications, green aircraft completion builds, installations and design support.
“We were looking to expand our production capabilities, and our new location in Georgia complements our existing divisions well. This addition allows us to provide our customers with a full range of aircraft products from design to implementation.” said David Lumgair, Managing Partner at Luminary Air Group.
Luminary has also added industry veteran Michael Lucas to manage the facility. Mr. Lucas has extensive experience with wide body VIP refurbishments and modifications, including complete refinishing programs on multiple Airbus Platforms, and the installation of the largest motorized monitor lift currently in service on an Airbus A320. In addition, Mr. Lucas has managed the refurbishment of several Global Express and Gulfstream platforms, and has completed numerous green aircraft completions, modifications and repairs on all Boeing airframes.
Mr. Lucas said the following about the acquisition: “With the addition to Luminary Air Group and adding to the vast capabilities that already exist, we are able to bring to market more than most cabinet shops. We now have the ability to not only build cabinets, but we have engineering talent, VVIP upholstery abilities and flexibility most facilities never have. With several programs already in the works, and our current sales teams that are heavily integrated with OEMs and major modification centers, we are capitalizing on our reputation of perfection and flexibility to support any airframe, any customer on any size program.”
